Mt. Rushmore

Traveling on Highway 16A we were in total awe when we rounded the last curve outside of the park and there is Washington's head peering out of the granite cliffs!  Honestly, I thought they would be larger but none the less, they are awe inspiring to say the least!  When leaving the Park, headed towards Crazy Horse monument, there is a pull off area that provides a GREAT side view of George through the trees... well worth the stop!!  From Rushmore we headed towards Crazy Horse Monument.  The Monument is a work in progress that will probably not be completed in my life time.
