Palo Doro Canyon

Palo Doro Canyon lies south of Amarillo Texas and is referred to as the Grand Canyon of Texas.  By no means a competitor to the Grand Canyon of Arizona it is worth your time to visit if you are ever in the area.  While in the Canyon Anita spotted what she at first thought was a humming bird.  Upon closer inspection (I blew the photo up) we discovered it was a moth.  The moth was feeding on the flower of a thistle.  If you look closely you can see the unbelievable size of its tongue used to feed on the nectar of the desert flowers.
